Fool Me Some More

Hearing a recording with the young Bing Crosby, when he had left Paul Whiteman and had a short engagement with Gus Arnheim’s orchestra on the West Coast, inspired me.
I sing this lovely tune that I never heard by someone else and play some clarinet and cornet. My cup mute and my harmon came to use as a variation to the open horn.
I find a thrill in being with you tho' you have fooled me before
I'll be you "Fill-in" when you are blue, so you can fool me some more.
I know you'll hike it some-day you'll pack then you'll be leaving my door
I "kinda" like it taking you back, so you can fool me some more.
I only look for roses when in season.
But you're the rose that comes and goes without a reason.
I've made my mind up I'm just a fool someday I'll even the score
Only to wind up breaking the rule so you can fool me some more.
