– Vid millennieskiftet fick jag möjlighet att göra en serie radioprogram inom ramen för en ny satsning i närradion i Burlöv, kallad Radio Swingtime. Således tog jag en bunt skivor under armen och stängde in mig i en studio varje fredag mellan 9-11 på förmiddagen och sände direkt. Jag fick sköta tekniken själv och jag valde en tuff utmaning; att improvisera kommentarerna. En och annan felsägning och lite tekniskt strul som nivåskillnader mellan CD, LP och kassettband förekommer oundvikligen under de c:a 100 program som blev resultatet. Men jag har valt att här dela med mig av programmen precis som dom lät när de sändes och de bjuder på en skön blandning av “sweet and hot” med tonvikt på 20-talsjazz där det finns stor variation: små grupper och storband, instrumental respektive vokal musik, från enkel rättfram blues till komplicerat arrangerad dans- och konsertmusik, jazz från Chicago, New York och New Orleans spelad av såväl jazzikoner som näst intill okända, bortglömda musiker. Ibland får dagens utövare av musiken också komma till tals.
